Mental Health Awareness 2019

We believe that God desires that every one of his children lives in perfect health. However, due to the Fall, human being have fallen short of the glory and the health accorded them in the beginning of time. But in Psalms 34:18, the Scriptures assures us that:

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit”

The Scriptures recognize the struggle that man has with anxiety: “Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.” – Proverbs 12:25

OBJECTIVES

  1. To create awareness in the church about the importance of mental health and its impact on a personal as well as at the community level.
  2. To destigmatize mental health by providing right information regarding mental health so that the church and families may have robust, intelligent, helpful conversations to find ways to come alongside those who are suffering from this illness and thereby, seek, or offer appropriate help and support.
  3. To disseminate proper and accurate information on common mental health issues in the Malaysian society.

OUR GOAL

The goal of MHA@FGAKL is for the community and church to have a more Christ-like approach to mental health.
