Counselling

WHAT IS IT THE FAMILY LIFE COUNSELLING UNIT?

The Family Life Counselling Unit (FLCU) was started with the vision of strengthening the family units within FGA according to biblical principles by equipping, educating, training, supporting and providing counsel and encouragement to families & individuals.

The Family Life Counselling Unit provides:
  • An avenue for people to bring their problems and struggles
  • A safe and secure environment during consultation
  • Individual attention that goes beyond pastoral advice

WHO DOES COUNSELLING IN FLCU?

The members of the pastoral team carry their usual pastoral responsibilities, but the counselling done by FLCU goes beyond pastoral advice. These counsellors have specialized training in the counselling process and in psychology. They are skilled in the techniques designed to bring about desired change. They may be volunteers in the church (social workers, school guidance counsellors, etc.) or salaried full-time or part-time.
